Filipinos have embraced as their own cuisines form other countries like the noodles from the Chinese, rice and meat dishes from the Spaniards, fast-food from the Americans and even spaghetti from the Italians. All these now form part of the Philippine cuisine - with the Filipino touch, of course.
STEAMED CRABS
Kawayan Cove Owners prepared a hearty Pinoy lunch for us right in front of the secluded Bamboo Beach. When I saw a lot of uncooked fresh sea foods in front of the beach house upon our arrival, I just told myself… the rain is perfect. Perfect time to pig-out specially with this kind of weather.
GRILLED TILAPIA
Aside from freshly grilled tilapia, steamed crabs, grilled squid and shrimp kebab, they also served several authentic pinoy side dishes like sliced green mango with bagoong, ginisang kangkong, atsara (pickled green papaya) and salted egg with sliced tomato.
GRILLED SHRIMP (kebab style)
I love the way they cooked the Tinolang Manok because it has a Buko flesh which is perfectly blended with the sliced ginger, green papaya and sili leaves. The steamed rice was individually wrapped in banana leaves which makes the rice more unique and appealing. I also liked the chicken barbeque because its perfectly grilled to perfection.
BATANGAS LECHON
LECHE FLAN, MELON AND SWEET PINEAPPLE
After enjoying delicious pinoy dishes, a tray of creamy leche flan, maja blanca, sliced melon and sweet pineapple was served to complete our meal.
KAWAYAN COVE DINING TABLE
After the big lunch, the Puyat family – the owner and developer of Kawayan cove toured us around the facilities and amenities in Kawayan Cove and fell in love with the place right after.
FRESH FRUITS
Kawayan Cove is an exclusive seaside real estate property located in Nasugbu Batangas. Finally a real estate property that perfectly maintains a fine balance between infrastructure development and environment conservation. It’s probably one of the best real estate property I’ve ever seen and hopefully not the last.
